About

I’m a Workplace Mediator and Conflict Resolution Specialist. People often ask what a Workplace Mediator does, put simply, I help colleagues find better ways to work together when relationships break down.

Mediation is a form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) that offers neutral, facilitated conversations to resolve conflict. It’s highly effective, with most people sticking to their agreed outcomes. The process is quick and flexible: we typically spend a full day in mediation, with preparatory sessions held individually beforehand. I also follow up afterwards to check in and provide support if needed.

When should Workplace Mediation be considered?

I’m usually contacted by HR Managers, People Practitioners, or business leaders when a grievance has been raised or it’s clear that working relationships are deteriorating. Mediation creates a safe, confidential space for colleagues to talk things through, rebuild trust, and agree practical ways forward. The sooner it’s used, the better it prevents conflict from becoming entrenched and harder to resolve. Clients often tell me they wish they’d acted sooner.

Why work with me?

I take the time to fully understand the issues and the people involved. Conflict can be incredibly stressful, and I ensure everyone feels heard and supported throughout the process. With in-house experience at leading brands like Waitrose, and a consultancy background supporting businesses of all sizes, I bring a practical, balanced approach that helps people move forward constructively.

Workplace Mediation

Workplace mediation is a confidential process that helps employees resolve conflict with the support of an independent mediator.
Mediation is voluntary, impartial, and focused on early resolution. It is often used where working relationships have broken down, communication has deteriorated, or where formal procedures risk escalating the situation further.
Every mediation is bespoke. No two workplace conflicts are the same, and not every situation fits a standard process. The approach, timescales, and structure are tailored to the individuals involved and the issues being addressed. An initial conversation allows us to understand the context, the number of parties, and the desired outcomes, ensuring the process is proportionate and effective.
Pricing
The starting fee for a two-party workplace mediation is £1,100. Fees increase where additional parties are involved, reflecting the additional preparation, individual meetings, and facilitation required. All costs are agreed in advance following an initial discussion.

Conflict Coaching

Conflict coaching is a one-to-one, confidential process that supports individuals who are experiencing workplace conflict or preparing to manage a difficult relationship or conversation. It is particularly effective where mediation is not appropriate, not yet viable, or where an individual needs support to navigate a situation independently.
The coaching focuses on increasing self-awareness, clarifying the issues, and developing practical strategies for communication, decision-making, and boundary-setting. The focus is on helping the individual respond constructively, confidently, and professionally to conflict at work.
Every conflict coaching engagement is bespoke. The structure, number of sessions, and focus are tailored to the individual, the organisational context, and the nature of the conflict. An initial conversation allows us to determine whether conflict coaching is the right intervention and to agree a proportionate and effective approach.

Fees are based on the scope and duration of support required. Costs are agreed in advance following an initial discussion, ensuring clarity and no surprises.

Collaborative Conversations

This programme is designed for line managers who struggle with difficult conversations and is delivered through four practical workshops, scheduled one per month, allowing time for reflection, application, and meaningful behavioural change between sessions.
The overall aim of the programme is to provide a memorable and practical development experience that builds capability in the key area of holding collaborative conversations. The workshops draw on core mediation skills, recognising that these require a high level of skill to apply constructively, particularly in complex or emotionally charged workplace situations.
Each workshop introduces one core tool. Delegates develop a practical action plan to apply that tool in real workplace conversations over the following month. At the next session, participants reflect on their experience - what worked, what didn’t, and what they learned, before building on that learning and adding the next tool. Over time, this creates a strong and practical tool belt that can be used confidently when managing challenge, difference, and difficult conversations.
The programme is deliberately structured to embed learning, not overload participants, and to support the rebuilding and strengthening of working relationships.
By the end of the programme, delegates will have:
• Increased self-awareness and understanding of their own impact
• Greater understanding of others and different perspectives
• Stronger team connection and peer support between delegates
• Insight into the power and purpose of collaborative conversations
• Enhanced communication skills
• Increased confidence in holding productive and difficult conversations
• The ability to rebuild relationships that may previously have felt fractured
• The capability to see situations from alternative perspectives
• A practical, transferable toolkit that can be applied immediately in the workplace
