I’m Lucy Warman, founder of Surge Ahead, where we design practical, people focused training for managers and teams. Over the years, I’ve led large operational teams and managed HR functions, giving me first hand insight into the challenges managers and team members face every day. I know what it’s like to handle complex situations, balance competing priorities, and support people to perform at their best.


At Surge Ahead, we create training that is grounded in real workplace experience. Our sessions cover people management, communication, performance management, and workplace behaviour, always focused on what works in practice.


We help managers and teams develop confidence, clarity, and practical skills that can be applied immediately, rather than just theory.


I believe that effective training comes from understanding people, situations, and the pressures of real work. Everything we deliver is designed to be engaging, relatable, and actionable, helping teams work better together and managers lead with confidence.


Surge Ahead exists to make learning practical, relevant, and genuinely useful for the people who need it most.


In addition to L&D, we also provide tailored and practical outplacement support to those that have been made redundant.

In addition - Sexual Harassment Awareness Training
This sexual harassment awareness training equips managers and team members with the knowledge and skills to recognise, address and prevent inappropriate conduct at work.

It’s grounded in recent legal changes under the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023, which requires employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace and reflects updated guidance from the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

Management Development Programme

Designed for 'accidental managers' or managers / supervisors with no prior training.

Practical, engaging and interactive. I don’t just train this, I have lived it, through leading large teams operationally and managing HR functions.

6 modules - 2 hours per module - Virtual or Face to Face.

DiSC Behavioural Analysis & Training

Practical DiSC training delivered by an experienced people leader, focused on improving communication, reducing friction, and helping teams understand how different behavioural styles show up at work.

Engaging DiSC training helps teams understand themselves and each other better, leading to clearer communication, fewer misunderstandings, and stronger collaboration.

Working either one to one with those who need more support or in group based training.
